now serving: Gossip Girl, Misfits and some other random things
Day 20: Why do you think Misfits is a fucking brilliant show?
I can’t picspam it or really depict it in words, but it’s a brilliant black comedy. The ASBOs have done some of the most heinous things anyone can think of, including and up to murder, and yet you’re still rooting for them at the end of the day. In the hands of anyone else (US based or not), a show like Misfits could be clumsily executed and the humor of the show would not translate well to the audience.
Day 17. A scene that makes you go “awwww.”
Day 16. A scene that makes you laugh.
Only because Ollie was killed off two minutes after he was introduced in the show.
Day 15. A scene that makes you cry.
This scene doesn’t make me cry, it’s sad. Curtis’s whole thing is he feels he is saner than the other ASBOs; he’s not as violent as Kelly, putting up a tough, crass facade like Nathan, driven mad by bullying (and mistreated by the English mental health system) like Simon or unable to understand why he was arrested like Alisha. He feels he was caught at the wrong place and time with drugs, that is all. Had Curtis become a track star for England, none of the ASBOs (except for Nathan, obviously) would’ve lived after Tony attacked them. So it’s nice that, at the end of this scene, Curtis decides he will rewind time, save the ASBOs and be with them than to be in the 2012 Olympics.
Day 14. ”Prettiest Scene.”
…um, I kept these photos of Alisha on my hard drive for no reason and here they are? It’s from the scene where Simon confronts her after thinking she gave him a blowjob (when in reality it was shapeshifting Lucy).
20 days of Misfits: Most bad-ass scene
Actually this is my “creepy” scene, and since there are places for me to show my most bad-ass ASBO 5 moments, those will be my bad-ass scenes for “most bad-ass scene.”
This scene, when I initially saw it, reminded me of the “Come to Daddy” video. Only, somehow, more creepier.
